Sinful thoughts rise when his eyes lock with mine
I crave a touch from his coarse skin against
A thin shell of chastity so divine
And in this abstinence, my heart’s estranged
A luring wave resonates, calling me
It’s been so long since I’ve last heard my name
Flowing from sly lips towards my dead sea
While drowning in the deluge of his game
But before I suffocated, he stopped
Pleased with himself, he gave me an arch smile
My wanton contingence for him was topped
With hatred because I fell for his guile
He pulled me closer to give me a peck
But instead, I smiled and then broke his neck

Stardust
I crave the satiation
Of a wave so beautiful
Resonating against my ear
The notes he play
The strings he strike
Can bring me to my knees…I need, with desperation,
A force so unbearable
To shatter me against
The stardust of his soul
Until I melt into one
A planet of raging stormsI melt into his darkness
The infinite space
The sun in the core
The life of my soulHe’ll strike me with meteors
Until I turn me into a moon
I’ll orbit his space
And shine with my wounds

Back in the Day
Back in the day
Love used to be so simple
Scribbles and names across the pagesBack in the day
Hate used to be so simple
One word and a smile on our facesBack in the day
Tree branches were the only thing we broke
Innocent lies were the only thing we toldBack in the day
Tag was a game we played
One touch into an honest chaseMy favorite cup
Your favorite juice
My mom’s makeup
And your dad’s shoesI want to go back to these days
I want to take you with me
I’ll show you the innocent love
And everything we could be

My Legacy
Been alive for twenty years now
Never once have I stopped hoping
Almost drained, I took a vow
Never give up on a life worth savingI took it upon myself to be a warrior
With a sword, an armor, and a prophecy
“One day, a girl will become the savior,
For she will slay the dragon, and fulfill her legacy.”A large shadow falls upon me
As I climb the highest of hills, searching
For the dragon that has become my enemy
Only to find it swallowing the sun, waitingDeath flashes in its eyes
As it descends towards its prey
I shout, a battle cry
And raise my sword towards the frayI fight for all the scars-
The ones inked on my skin
I fight for all the stars-
The ones shining from withinIt was the day I won
Not just a battle, but the war
But the light left the sun
As blood poured from the skies
Still warm…
