  • A Word or Two

    September 6, 2015

    I discovered myself through words
    Secrets I couldn’t expose
    Things forbidden to say
The boundaries, the bars, the cages and the walls
    I brought them down

    I discovered real passion
    For love, for life
    A passion towards others
    Those who anchored your boat
    Held their breath underwater
Until you were ready to set sail

    I discovered magic
Something I never saw in letters
    In the words they form
    That can unite, destroy,
    Or give some more-
    Another piece of you
    To the spectators

    And love-
    Through words
    I discovered love…

  • A Thread

    A Thread

    August 31, 2015

    I know I’m in love
When I start bleeding words for you

When you walk right past me
    And you don’t even look
    I swear I ache everywhere

When you look at someone else
    Her-
    The girl you love
    But not me
    I ache

I lend my thoughts to your whereabouts
    And the whys

I fall fast and hard every time
    I fall because I follow a thread
    My small chance at love

    Even though you’re hurting me
    I won’t let you go
I fear the day I’ll have to forget you
I fear the emptiness that will follow
    I’d rather ache
Than live with a heart that doesn’t give…

  • The Aftermath

    The Aftermath

    August 23, 2015

As human beings, we enjoy the near-death experiences. We enjoy staring death in the eye. It gives us a rush, a high, a feeling of invincibility.

We enjoy jumping from a plane. We enjoy the air slamming in our face, but we have a parachute. We can stop death. We can enjoy the feeling of free falling and letting go, but, right before our feet touch the earth, we slow down. We stop and float down gently. We don’t want to die. We just want to experience those moments before death occurs. We want to experience the adrenaline in our veins taking over our entire being. For once in our lives, we want to feel invincible because, really, we enjoy being vulnerable sometimes. We fall in love and expose ourselves. We either survive it or find ourselves on the path of self-destruction.

Like I said, we enjoy the moments before death. Yes, we enjoy love.

But, the aftermath… Well, we never consider it, and we don’t even have a parachute to stop it…

  • Waiting for the Call

    Waiting for the Call

    August 18, 2015

    Apparently, I’m falling

    Everybody sees it
    Except for you
    My darling

    I wish for things-

    Impossible things
    But-
    They’re possible
    You can make them true
    Say my name
    And you’ll find me
    Waiting for you

So… will you call my name?
    Or will I just wait-
    And wait
    As I fall
    Towards the end…
